Birthdays and such....

These cakes were for a couple of cute girls' birthdays. Talyssa was turning one and had the tiered princess cake along with the small smash cake, and Josie was turning two and wanted a cake for a small party.

Halloween Birthday Cake

This cake was so fun to make! It was for a Halloween/Birthday/Murder mystery (CLUE) party. I loved making all the little weapons for the cupcake toppers (gun, rope, lead pipe, candlestick, knife, wrench). Makes me want to do some more Halloween cakes, that's for sure!

Golf anyone?

Ms. Jewell, the wife of the birthday boy, sent me the sweetest email. I thought I'd post it along with the cake pictures: "Oh my goodness!! Thank you so much. This is the cutest cake I've ever seen. Steve was blown away by it. (You've set a high standard, guess I won't be able to get away with a cake mix anymore...) The detail is incredible. The photo, which is darling, doesn't begin to do it justice. EVERYONE should get a cake like this at least ONCE in their lifetime! THANK YOU AGAIN!!!!!"

More July Celebrations

These are two cakes for July. One is for some huge fans of the University of Florida Gators. They were headed to Vegas to get married, so I sent this cake along with them. The other cake is one my sister-in-law helped me with for a birthday for her friend Amber. She makes a different John Deere themed cake each year.

Annie's Baby Shower

This was a super fun cake for my beautiful cousin Annie, who is expecting her first boy! I have two boys, and all I can say is "BRACE YOURSELF!" Thanks for letting me make your cake Annie!

Just a note....

Whenever I receive requests from my blog for prices, etc., I respond via email, and many times, it ends up in your junk folder. So, if you've asked me some questions or made a request, more than likely I've responded and it has ended up in the JUNK! Look for an email from: somethingsweetcakes@gmail.com. Also, I should have an actual website up in the near future with prices, options, online ordering, and MORE! :-) Stay tuned.......
